J. Luke McGrath, MAI

Luke McGrath is a successful real estate professional from Dallas, Texas. He was born and raised in Dallas and pursued his education at Auburn University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. After completing his education, he began his career in the real estate industry at BBG, a national appraisal firm.

During his tenure at BBG, Luke proved to be a top performer and underwrote and appraised over 4 billion dollars in multifamily transactions. He was responsible for a wide variety of multifamily property types, including traditional multifamily, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac projects, conduit and other capital-market products, proposed properties, high-rise luxury rentals, and many other multifamily products.

Throughout his demanding workload, Luke was able to achieve a significant milestone in his career by becoming one of the youngest people in history to receive the MAI designation at the age of 26. The MAI designation is a prestigious honor awarded by the Appraisal Institute to individuals who have completed rigorous educational and experience requirements in the field of real estate valuation.

After four successful years at BBG, Luke joined Cantrell McCulloch in 2021. With his extensive valuation and real estate knowledge, Luke continues to excel in his role at Cantrell McCulloch, where he represents owners and helps them achieve significant tax savings. He represents all types of commercial properties and specializes in multifamily properties.
